Triple H Takes Over WWE As Leadership Roles Change

As the saying goes, it's a new day, yes it is. Following the announcement of Vince McMahon's retirement, WWE has officially announced its new leadership. McMahon has also been appointed Chairwoman of the Board, and Khan will continue to serve as a member of the Board as well. However, what's caught most people's eye is the fact that Triple H--whose real name is Paul Levesque--is returning to creative.

Levesque ran the NXT creative for a number of years, as well as signed some of the established stars as his first tenure in that role. Stars like Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens, were all given their initial push by Levesque in NXT.

As for the co-CEOs, McMahon and Khan made a joint statement saying how grateful they were for the opportunity to "lead WWE together with our unmatched management team." Khan had been prepped to take over at some point, but with the wild year Stephanie has had from stepping away from the company to internal reports saying she wasn't that great at her position has been a pure rollercoaster.

The complete overhaul of the company came as a result of Vince McMahon's retirement due to allegations of sexual harassment and paying hush money to several women over a number of years. Now it's being reported that the number could be more than $14 million that was described as "certain payments." An investigation is underway into WWE's finances from 2019 to now.
