WWE Investigation Finds More Unrelated Expenses Related To Former CEO Vince McMahon

World Wrestling Entertainment has now reported an additional pair of unrecorded expenses related to former CEO Vince McMahon, bringing the total to $19.6 million.

As reported by CNN, two more payments from 2007 and 2009 have been disclosed by WWE but are apparently unrelated to the investigation over McMahon's alleged misconduct, according to what the company said in a regulatory filing. The two additional payments are $5 million in total, and WWE said that the investigation remains ongoing.

"The company has evaluated the unrecorded expenses and has determined that such amounts should have been recorded as expenses in each of the periods in which they became probable and estimable," said WWE in the filing. "It said all payments classified as "unrecorded expenses" were or will be paid by McMahon personally."

Back in June, McMahon temporarily stepped down as CEO of WWE due to the investigation alleging misconduct against him. The investigation was launched by WWE itself, which centered around millions in hush-money payments to women that McMahon has allegedly had affairs with.

His daughter Stephanie McMahon took over as interim CEO and chairwoman of WWE, but following the news the McMahon was retiring from WWE, Stephanie was taken on as co-CEO taken on as co-CEO alongside Nick Kahn, with Stephanie also being appointed as chairwoman of the board. Stephanie's husband Paul "Triple H" Levesque was also announced to be taking on the role of creative on top of his other duties.

McMahon announced the news of his retirement through his personal Twitter account, writing "At 77, time for me to retire," making no reference to the investigation, though while he is retired is still the majority shareholder of the company.
